Sunday’s Best highlights the cherished African-American custom of women wearing extraordinary hats to church services on Sundays and explores the rich tradition with Miami’s own fashionable, faithful community. Through interviews with local churchgoers, the film addresses some of the questions as to why these stunning hats are worn to places of worship. This documentary also incorporates vintage and contemporary photography highlighting the artistry of the hats as well as local gospel music.
